Fila
liquid floor wax is a modern solution to enhancing, protecting and
maintaining your stone floors with a range of finishes such as natural
(Fila Classic), matt (Fila Matt), satin (Fila Satin) and gloss (Fila
LongLife). These effective, easy to apply waxes will give your interiors
a final finish to make maintenance simple. Apply the stone floor wax to
a clean, dry floor, starting in the corner farthest from the door area
and applying a thin coating or finish with a floor sealer.
Two or three thin coats of floor wax are always preferable to one or two
thick coats – the finish is much improved. Once the final coat of floor
wax has dried and hardened, furniture can then be replaced in the room. We would recommend the use of self-adhesive felt pads on each piece of furniture, especially on the feet of chairs which will, obviously, be moved across the waxed surface.
The fantastic thing about Fila's liquid stone floor waxes is the easy way they can be used to maintain your new finish. Using the “wash and wax” method, pour a cupful of wax into a bucket of plain, warm water and use this to wash your floor occasionally to restore a thin layer of wax . Allow the water and wax solution to dry off and “hey presto!” you are left with a fresh finish.
Wax pastes are perfect for use on terracotta as well as tumbled marble. Fila Naturwax is ideal for creating a shine on surfaces that have either been newly laid or where you need to bring back a natural shine to old floors or those that have lost their shine. Stone floor wax pastes are designed to penetrate the very porous terracotta sufficiently to hold in the material without running right through as a liquid wax may do. It also gives a perfect base for finishing liquid wax to give you the perfect look to your terracotta. It’s available in clear, yellow and brown so that you can make your terracotta floors match your requirements. It’s easy to use, simply apply two coats of the floor wax paste to your terracotta 8 hours apart with a sponge or lint free cloth and work it into your terracotta then polish with a woollen cloth or polisher. This may take a little “elbow grease”, but the results are well worth the effort to treat, protect and enhance stone tiles or slabs.
